Wilds Sports is an independent, specialist sports retailer in Hampshire and Berkshire which offers a diverse range of sporting equipment to cater for all of your sporting needs. We pride ourselves on our friendly, impartial advice and offer excellent product knowledge to ensure customer satisfaction.

Our Stores

Both of our stores (Winchester & Newbury) have friendly, approachable specifically trained staff to advise you on any sport. If we do not have exactly what you need, we are able to order most sporting items at short notice. If you are not sure, please ask!

Wilds History

Wilds Sports is a traditional family run business which has been in Winchester for well over 50 years. The original shop was in Bishops Waltham, near Winchester, and was a saddlers and sports business called Wild & Hillier. The Wild family moved the sports business to Winchester in the 1950's. Danny Cornter, our current owner and MD, joined the company as a work experience/Saturday boy in 1986. The business was sold to the Cornter family in 1991, Danny's parents worked in the business until they retired in 2003. 

The business is widely known as one of the leading sports shops in Hampshire, we specialise in sports equipment and try to cater for real sports men and women, we pride ourselves on providing a first class service to our customers. Our Newbury site was opened in 2002 and moved to its current location in 2007.
